You only need three primary bags to travel like a pro: a carryon bag with great interior and exterior organization (fabric is best as it's more expandable/contractable and always fits in overhead bins), a large tote, and a not-too-big crossbody in a neutral color that works with everything you pack (crossbody bags are ideal for dealing with general travel mayhem and are a dream for sightseeing hands-free). Pro-tip: Pack your tablet, chargers, and cosmetics inside a large leather pouch for easy access in-flight. You'll have a simple and stylish clutch to carry to fancy events once you touch down.

WHAT TO WEAR TO THE AIRPORT

The primary goal of your airport ensemble should be comfort + style (because you're awesome). A polished pair of trouser leggings and a lightweight sweater in a just-right length will keep you warm and cozy (but not boiling). If you're traveling to/from somewhere cold, wear your coat so that it doesn't need to be packed. Easy on/off flats will keep you sane moving through security lines, plus they will work to style looks when you land.
